Introduction to Drama is an exciting semester course offered to students who have a real interest in exploring all aspects of theater. Students are introduced to basic terms and are given opportunity to perform short plays, skits, monologues and our school-wide musical. Our students may also compete in theater festivals or local contests. The main objective is to build basic skills such as improvisation, role preparation, characterization, and behind the scenes work. Discovering those hidden talents in our students is one of the most rewarding benefits of this class.
McCracken also offers students the opportunity to participate in the school wide musical under the direction of Ms. Colon and many talented staff members. Our past productions have included: Once Upon A Mattress, Aladdin, High School Musical, and Mulan to name a few. Students audtion for a wide array of parts and stage management positions.

MMS Presents “The Little Mermaid, Jr.”

The musical presentation for 2014-2015 will be The Little Mermaid, Jr. Practice will take place during a 7th period class. Upon auditioning, students will be asked to provide their schedule. The cast of students will have their schedule adjusted to move them into the 7th period class to prepare for the musical.
